Rent a Home

Available Aire Valley Homes properties are advertised on the Leeds Homes website and in the Leeds Homes weekly magazine, which is published every Wednesday. Copies of the magazine are free to pick up at any local housing office or One-Stop-Centre. We have general needs and sheltered properties available to rent, including houses, bungalows, flats, maisonettes and bedsits.

To express an interest in an available property you will need to complete a Leeds Homes registration form. This tells us more about your circumstances and any special information we need to know about you to make sure we recognise the correct priority of your application

Once you have seen an advertised property that you think will meet your needs, contact Leeds Homes to ‘express an interest’ in that property, using your membership number. Leeds Homes can be contacted on (0113) 247 6313 between 9.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

You can also bid for properties direct on the Leeds Homes website or by text message. Please see the link to the Leeds Homes website on the right or our Text Bids page for further information.

You can download an application form, guidance on how to apply for a home and the Council’s Lettings Policy from: www.leedshomes.org.uk

Leeds City Council Lettings Policy is available to download from the link on the right.  The policy clearly sets out how we allocate properties on behalf of Leeds City Council. You can also download a copy of the standard Tenancy Agreement.

The Leeds Homes magazine and website also give details of properties available from other landlords, together with the number of people who have ‘expressed an interest’ in all the advertised properties.

Most of the homes advertised in the Leeds Homes Magazine are still occupied, and whilst we encourage you to check that the location is suitable, please remember you will only be invited to view the interior if you have been made an offer.  We would ask that you do not disturb the present tenant by asking to view their home.  Also, please do not approach any contractors who may be working in a property once it becomes empty.  Access will not be given.
